Industry Immersion Africa (iiAfrica) is a pan-African organisation which is registered in South Africa and Ghana as a Non-Profit Organisation (NPO).
iiAfrica helps enhance STEM-Inclined graduates' employability and entrepreneurship in Africa by leveraging our relationships with employers and academic partners to set up our fellows for success in their careers.
Youth unemployment does not just affect individuals --but their families and the country's economy as well. Our goal is to assist up to 1 million STEM graduates in finding meaningful employment opportunities by 2030 across Africa. As an organisation that is intentional in driving sustainability on the African continent, we want to shine a light on our collective responsibility, as shapers and participants of the World of Work, to leverage our expertise and impact to make employment a key driver of sustainable development
Get More InfoThe Industry Immersion Program (IIP) by iiAfrica and in partnership with SOS-Kinderdörfer, aims to boost the employability of STEM graduates across Africa. By combining technical and soft skills training, the program prepares participants with industry-ready expertise, bridging the gap between academia and the workforce.
In the first 8 weeks, students will complete courses that develop essential digital, technical, and soft skills, preparing them for success in professional and technical environments.
Alongside the skills training, students will work on a machine learning capstone project, applying their skills in a hands-on environment. They will then present their findings to industry experts, demonstrating the real-world applications of their work
After 8 weeks of training, students will be assisted in securing an internship with a company in their home country, applying the knowledge and skills gained during the program.
